Hi all,  This is what we posted on Facebook "Class Of 1970"
I’m sorry it’s taking us so long to get something together:(
Hope you all can make it:) If you could help us spread the word or if you have emails please
forward:))

Hey there Class of ’70.  Unbelievably, it’s time for our 45th reunion.
Please help us celebrate with the “Big One Dayer”.  One big day of fun and camaraderie.
We held our 40th reunion at River's Edge Golf Course and they have agreed to let us come back.
We’re also repeating the golf tournament because everyone that played had such a good time.
So - here are the details:

Date:  Saturday, August 22, 2015
Golf Tournament starts at 1pm
   - Absolutely no skills required - just a good sense of humor!
   - $42 for 9 holes with cart
   - reserve your spot by calling Andy French at 541-480-2969 or email him at ajfrench@bendcable.com

The evening festivities will start at 5pm at the Clubhouse with a casual BBQ and no-host bar. The cost will be $20/person.  The plan is to keep it simple and casual - so nothing to do but catch up and reconnect!

Register for either the golf tournament and/or the evening festivities by clicking on the PayPal link below or by sending a check to: Class of 1970 c/o Red Carpet Car Wash, P.O. Box 5323,  Bend, OR  97709.
we hope you’ll join us for “The Big One”!

Memories
Like the Corners of my mind
Misty watered clored memories
of the Way We Were!

Scattered Pictures
of the smiles we left behind
Smiles We gave to one Another
For the Way We Were

Can it be that it was all so simple then
or has time rewritten every line
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell Me, Would We? Could We?

Memories
May be beautiful and yet
What is too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget.

So its the laughter
we will remember
whenever we remember
The Way We Were
The Way We Were!!!!!!!!

Stay tuned for memories and words!  Coming soon!
2014 Rose Bowl Bound!
2014 Rose Bowl Bound!
2014 Duck Football Season!  What another great Duck Football Season!  Once
again, it was a fantastic time to see old friends and Bendites each football game.
Of course a few of us got the red carpet treatment, courtesy, of Chris and Debbie
Wetle!  Can't thank them enough for hosting the tail gate party each game, and also
for the "Wetle Presidential Suite" at their home.  They are simply awesome, and will love and cherish them both for life!  It is very special to have childhood friends, and your best
friends for a lifetime.

It was particularly wonderful this Duck season when Steve McClain joined us at
a Duck game, and Marcia Grote came to town the same weekend!  What a fabulous
weekend of memories that was.  Eugene and Portland was rocking with Bendites.

We wish our beloved Duck many blessings for the Rose Bowl!  We are playing for
the National Title soon!

Blessings to all in 2015!
PS:  Nice to send some good news for a change!
Treasure for a Lifetime!
Treasure for a Lifetime!
I received a very special Christmas Card in 2014.  It came from a classmate I have not
seen in 44 years, and it meant the world to me.

"Sending you a Christmas card reminds me of how you have crossed my path and
touched my life.  Warm Wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"

Thank you so very much, it meant the world to me!

Blessings Veronica

Wishing all my old classmates a Wonderful, Merry Christmas, and
many blessings in 2013!

It is the time of year, you really treasure the blessings of family and
friends, and a lifetime of memories.  I have enjoyed every single
Christmas Card because of the thought, time and care put into them.
In this day and age, it is electronic text messages, emails, generic facebook greetings, which usually includes "it is all about me!"

This week, it was wonderful to actually get a plate of home
baked cookies, receive photos of family & friends, have a meal with
just "good quality people", and most of all; being around people who
understand the meaning of the true "Christmas Sprit", and what a gift this special Christmas Holiday is all about.

Take a moment to open the door for someone, call someone you have been meaning to call forever-but life keeps getting in the way,
make a senior day, and drop by-remember you are a step away, but
above all else; just be the best you can be each day.

Looking forward to a walk in the snow in Bend during the holidays, and remembering the "Way We Were!"

Blessings Always
Your Bearette Bud!
Mr. Magic Mom!
Mr. Magic Mom!
Our beloved Mr. Magic's Mom has received her Angel Wings!
Duane Zanon's mom passed away this last Wednesday, and her service will be
in Bend on April 12, 2013.  Please read the attached obituary for details.

I know Mr. Magic would love to see some of his old classmates, and I know
many would like to pay their respects to his beloved mom Barbara.

Barbara and Kevin Domby's folks were the only parents to make it to our
40th reunion, and darn did they all look great!  Mr. Magic must have done his magic
on his mom.  It was so great to have her join us, and I sure don't have half the
energy she had.

Our prayers and thoughts are with Duane Zanon and his family at this most difficult time.

Our blessings our with them.

Ghoul's Night Out!

Goul's Night Out!
Goul's Night Out!

Ghoul's Night Out!  Recently some Bearette's caught up on Ghoul's Night
out to catch up on their Bearette Buds.  Myrna Ray, Dawn Orhling, Judy
Backstrom, Laurie Thalofer &  Sheila Wilson met at Veronica Story's home
for a fun evening of dinner and bear stories.

There was so little time to catch up at the reunion; the gals spent the night
trying to catch up on 40 years.  We started with Myrna, and she gave us a
fun filled evening about her life adventures.  Stay turned to the blog:  Coming
soon the " Ventures of Myrna Ray."

We also want everyone to keep Dawn's husband in their prayers as he
has had some new health trails.  Dawn told some funny stories about
getting the trash out for trash day and sweeping up.  Did anyone know this
cute little Lava Bear was hooked on garbage day?  She was always so
prim and proper in school!

Laurie Thalofer is a new grandma.  For those who didn't know it; Laurie
actually drove about 4 or 5 hours after the baby arrived just in time to
make the class photo.  Now that is a bear who was determimed to get to
her class reunion.

Sheila Wilson had just returned from a big job assignment in New York
City, so she got to share a few fun stories, but as always; just not enough
time.

Lastly Veronica got to tell Judy Backstrom how sorry she was she didn't
show up as her room mate at the U o fO.  Judy and Veronica were going
to be roommates.  Instead Judy got stuck with Governor John Kitzhaber's
sister.  We had some fun Kitzhaber stories to share.   Lee Lewis, do you
remember all the fun times with John???????????????

We decided at each of our get together's we will try to catch up with each
of the Bearettes.  40 years is a long time, and with all the gals; we will have
lots of "Girl's Night Out!"

Stay Tuned!  Go Ducks!

Hardly surprising at all.Given that yes the 3 big networks and CNN, NPR, are "progressive" in their slant AND one of the scions of liberal thought, Howard Zinn, proclaims from the rooftoops that objectivity is impossible (and he's partly right but he forgets that fair treatment is doable) what can be expected? By the way, I recommend Zinn's book "A People's History of the United States", it may be historically accurate (hightly doubtful) but it's inviolable proof that "progressives" can in fact preach with the best of 'em.Naturally, when an outlet exists that is more balanced (not fully so, Fox has a slant) the claws come out toward it and immediately that station is excoriated as a shill for a certain political viewpoint. Then ways are devised to try to get such outlet or outlets to the "Fairness Doctrine" chopping block. As for "progressives", for folks who for the most part shun absolute truth, they surely absolutely cling to their "progressive" ideology. nexium lasix nursing parameters

As a feminist, I found Kelly’s Victorian argument that men cannot lunch with married women who are not their wives appalling. It is so disempowering and disrespectful of women to claim that they cannot be trusted on their own with a man. If a man and a woman have an issue that bears discussion, they should not require a chaperone. Jill seemed fine with the idea of the lunch until the Almacks grannies Jill and LuAnn had the vapors. I don’t think Jill had such antiquated ideas. Actually, I seem to recall Kelly lunching with a man last season and not for a date. LuAnn has had unchaperoned meetings with men as well. So…what are they afraid of. While I don’t think men should yell at women, I also don’t think women should be yelling at men. The hysteria about big bad Simon was premeditated drama-mongering and silly. If the terrible troika want to put on burkas, let them go ahead, but don’t do it on television and embarrass all womankind with their antiquated poor pitiful me routines. As a feminist, I find Kelly an embarrassment all around. She pontificates from a point of ignorance. She pretends to be some innocent naif, traumatized by a flash of vulva when her profession is modeling. There’s no modesty back stage at a show and everyone knows it, so her being “hurt” by the vulva is hypocritical at best. And again, so disempowering of women. As to Jill and LuAnn, they are loathsome, but in an entertaining and funny way. Their delusions are so deep and so wide they would flood the Jordan River and it’s a hoot to watch them carrying on about your motes while ignoring their beams. I love to watch them because they are the perfect caricatures of hypocrisy. I don’t love to watch Kelly because she is so appallingly retrograde. Add to that her steamroller conversational style and her own use of physical intimidation to silence people and you have someone who is unpleasant and not in a funny way. She’s just too awful for words. And Cindy Barstop is irrelevant. No one cares what she thinks or what she does. No one has to. She has enough self-regard for an entire world to not have to bother. She has so much self-regard that she can’t even be bothered with her children for the short time it takes to eat lunch. With Cindy Barstop caring only for Cindy Barstop, the rest of us can take a break. cheapest car insurance auto insurance quotes
